Based on his book, “Learning to Be Loved,” David will teach how the spiritual disciplines are not ways we get to God, but that God is using them to get to us. What is one of the biggest areas of theological poverty in our churches today? We don’t know the story of Scripture. We must become familiar with the meta-narrative of Scripture. It is how we understand our Bibles and see the story God is writing in our world. David can take your audience through a specific book of the Bible and show how it ties into the story of Scripture. Or he can zoom out and walk through the entire story of the Bible, catering to a specific theme—such as kingdom, presence, atonement, unity, etc.
